CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland police are investigating a string of car break-ins that left 37 vehicles damaged across the Ohio City and Detroit Shoreway neighborhoods early Sunday morning.
The break-ins occurred between midnight and 5 a.m., according to the Cleveland Division of Police. Detectives from the Second District immediately launched an investigation after learning of the incidents, a news release said.
Preliminary information suggests the suspects are targeting vehicles for valuables or weapons. Investigators believe the perpetrators may be using one or more vehicles while also traveling on foot to commit the break-ins.
Police are asking residents and business owners in both neighborhoods to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity during the overnight hours
