One killed in Plum Orchard hit-and-run crash, New Orleans police say

One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Plum Orchard Sunday afternoon, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The crash was reported just before 4 p.m. in the 4300 block of Eastview Drive, where officers found the male driver of one vehicle injured. Paramedics took the man to a local hospital and he died there a few hours later, police said.

Another driver who was involved in the collision fled the scene, police said. Police did not immediately release more information.
