BATON ROUGE, La. (WNDU) - Brian Kelly, who stunningly left Notre Dame after the 2021 regular season for LSU , has been informed that LSU intends to dismiss him, according to multiple reports.
Sources tell ESPN the program is expected to inform the team of his departure at a meeting later tonight.
This comes after LSU suffered a 49-25 blowout loss at home to No. 3 Texas A&M on Saturday night, dropping the Tigers to 5-3 on the season and 2-3 in SEC play.
Kelly was in the middle of his fourth season with LSU, where he posted a 34-14 record during his tenure. He won an SEC West division title in his first season with the Tigers, but his tenure at the program has been considered underwhelming as LSU never made the College Football Playoff and never finished higher than 13th in the final C
