The man arrested following the death of a three-year-old boy in the foyer of a Queensland police station has been denied bail.
He faced the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday charged with an aggravated contravention of a domestic violence order and breaching bail.
Police said on the weekend he was behind the wheel of a car carrying a woman and two children when it crashed into bushland at Staplyton on the Gold Coast on Saturday morning.
A witness took the woman and the three-year-old to the Beenleigh police station, while the man left the scene with a one-year-old boy before officers arrived, according to police.
Officers performed CPR on the three-year-old boy but he was not revived.
No charges have been laid in relation to the crash or the boy's death.
