AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Palo Duro Dons have not lost since their season opener and remain the only undefeated team in District 2-5A DII play heading into Friday’s road game at Wichita Falls Legacy.
The Dons picked up a home win over Plainview last Thursday and have already clinched a postseason berth.
Palo Duro head coach Eric Mims, Sr. said his team is performing well in all phases of the game.
“Total team performance...defense also scored one of those touchdowns,” Mims said. “Late in the second-half, Kyron Brown had a strip sack and picked it up and ran it in for a touchdown. Offense put several points on the board. Special teams made some key plays and contributed as well.”
Mims said the balanced approach is important as the season progresses.
