NACOGDOCHES, Texas — The teenager accused of murdering three teens in Deep East Texas turned himself into authorities late Sunday evening.

Hector Cuarenta, 17, of Nacogdoches, was wanted for the shooting deaths of Dequavious LeCharles Brooks 17, of Nacogdoches, Edward Alejandro Rivera, 18, also of Nacogdoches, and Emilio Perez, 16, on Friday morning.

On Sunday, he was arrested and transferred to the Nacogdoches Law Enforcement Center, police said.

Brooks, Rivera and Perez were killed in the shooting in the 1000 block of Hackberry Street around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Initially, officers found three male victims with gunshot wounds with one of them dead and the other two were taken to the hospital. Nacogdoches Police Department Sgt. Brett Ayres confirmed later that the two injured people die
