City officials broke ground on the long-awaited renovation of the Windward Playground — a beloved children’s play area along the Venice Beach Boardwalk that disappeared in 2023.

The new project, led by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, officially launched at a morning ceremony attended by Councilwoman Traci Park, city staff, and local families.
