The effort aimed to reduce fire hazards in high-risk zones while promoting public safety
A coalition of city agencies and community groups joined forces this month to clear abandoned camps and debris from several hillside areas in Palisades, Councilwoman Traci Park announced.
The 2025 Hillside Task Force — made up of volunteers from the Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness, LAPD, Los Angeles City Park Rangers, Council District 11 staff, and other partners — focused cleanup efforts along Temescal Canyon Road, the Corona del Mar bluffs, and nearby hillsides.
Organizers said the effort aimed to reduce fire hazards in high-risk zones while promoting public safety and community stewardship of local open spaces.
