CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A 19-year-old found guilty of a double homicide in the city’s Slavic Village neighborhood, will be sentenced Monday.

On Oct. 22, Phoenix Brown was found guilty of aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, receiving stolen property, tampering with evidence, and having weapons while under disability.

Brown’s trial began on Oct. 14 in front of Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge Richard Bell and the jury started deliberating on Oct. 21.

“This was a cold-blooded execution of two juveniles,” said Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley. “Brown’s actions are another example of the epidemic of youth violence threatening the safety of all in our community.”
