In his new memoir, “I’m Not Trying to Be Difficult: Stories from the Restaurant Trenches,” Drew Nieporent takes readers from his childhood in Peter Cooper Village to the creation of a dining empire that helped define New York’s culinary scene.
Nieporent sat down with “Mornings On 1” to reflect on his four decades in the industry, and to share what’s changed most in restaurants over the years.
