One tourist says he was left "pleasantly surprised" after paying £70 to stay in a Wetherspoon's hotel for the night, despite initially having low expectations.
Callum Ryan stayed the night in The Swan Hotel in Leighton Buzzard, Buckinghamshire, and while he had low expectations of the Wetherspoons owned hotel, the content creator, from Wandsworth, London, said the stay was comparable to some boutique hotels.
The 24-year old said: "I was really surprised by it, I was expecting it to be small and run down. I didn't have high expectations, you get what you pay for with Wetherspoons, and it usually is budget-friendly.
"The room itself was something you would stay in while at a boutique hotel. It wasn't like a chain hotel where there is a bed and a wall."
