GRAND FORKS — An event held late last month raised more than $100,000 for the fight against Alzheimer's.

On Sept. 27, 438 walkers, donors and sponsors came together at the Walk to End Alzheimer's event, raising more than $123,760 to support Alzheimer's Association classes and resources for local families, as well as to advance dementia research.

"It was a beautiful day for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Grand Forks, and we are incredibly grateful to our walkers, volunteers and community sponsors who made it so special," said Sarah Flesberg, the event's manager. "This event brings hope and connection to those impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementia, reminding us that no one has to face this journey alone.”
