CINCINNATI —
Cincinnati's police chief has been placed on leave, pending an internal investigation that city officials say could take months.
Monday, the city announced which firm they had tapped to conduct a review of Chief Terri Theetge's leadership. Advertisement
According to a press release, the city of Cincinnati says they have engaged Frost Brown Todd as independent counsel to "conduct a review into the effectiveness of leadership within the Cincinnati Police Department," under Theetge.
The city says the process will "take the amount of time necessary," to ensure an accurate and thorough review.
Theetge was placed on administrative leave last week. The chief has hired her own employment lawyer as the process plays out.
