A South Dakota company has recalled 2.2 million pounds of ready-to-eat Korean barbecue pork jerky that may be contaminated with pieces of metal.
LSI of Alpena issued the recall of 2,277,540 pounds of the jerky that was sold nationwide at Costco and Sam’s Club stores, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced.
The jerky has a one-year shelf life and best-by dates ranging from Oct. 23, 2025, through Sept. 23, 2026.
Recall details are:
14.5-oz. and 16-oz. plastic pouches containing “Golden Island fire-grilled Pork Jerky Korean Barbecue recipe.”
The recalled jerky has the establishment number “M279A” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
