Last week, the average gas price in the Harrisburg area fell 6.7 cents to $3.12.
This week, we lost those gains. Prices increased 7.3 cents landing at an average of $3.19.
But there are plenty of stations well below the average, including $2.75 a gallon at Sam’s Club in Silver Spring Twp. and $2.89 a gallon at Weis Markets in Hampden Twp., according to GasBuddy users.
The national average today is $3 a gallon according to GasBuddy and $3.05 according to AAA .
“The national average saw a slight rise over the last week, as gas prices surged in parts of the Midwest after a refinery fire pushed wholesale gasoline prices sharply higher in the region,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
