South African Police are investigating the brutal killing of two young women, Tshiamo Moramaga (22) and Baleseng Moramaga (21), who were found dead in Mamelodi East, Tshwane, on Sunday morning.

Neighbours reported hearing heated arguments followed by gunshots before discovering the bodies of the cousins.

Preliminary reports indicate that a man who allegedly spent about R10,000 on alcohol for the two women at a local groove may be connected to the incident.

The tragedy has triggered a wave of reactions across social media, with many users urging women to exercise caution and avoid relying on strangers for financial support when going out.

Authorities have since reiterated the same advice, warning that such interactions can sometimes lead to dangerous or fatal outcomes as investigations
