A fatal crash on the M6 has seen a man tragically lose his lie after a car was spotted ‘driving the wrong way’ down the busy motorway.
The horror smash occurred on the southbound side of the motorway near Leyland and Standish, close to the Charnock Richard services, shortly after 9.30pm last night. Just minutes before the incident Police reported a car, believed to be a Vauxhall Astra, was spotted 'travelling in the wrong direction' on the motorway.
It has now been reported that a collision then took place on the southbound carriageway between a Vauxhall Astra and a Toyota Corolla. Sadly, the driver of the Astra - a man in his 50s - died at the scene.
Two men in their 40s, understood to be the driver and passenger of the Corolla, were rushed to hospital with 'serious injuries'. Ro
