A cyclist who was injured by a drunk driver has become the first patient to benefit from a unique NHS centre that specialises in 3D printing body parts - providing him with a 3D printed face. ‌

Dave Richards, 75, was 'fortunate to survive' the accident which caused damage to his back and pelvis and resulted in multiple broken ribs on one side of his body. ‌

He also suffered full thickness burns to the side of his face, affecting his eye, nose and part of his neck.
