After a chilly start to the week following a cold spell over the weekend, the Met Office says a change to UK weather is on the way.
Parts of the UK saw sprinkling of snow on Saturday (October 25) after cold Arctic air brought wintry conditions. Temperatures dropped into the low single figures across the country, falling to 0C in parts of the far north on Sunday night (October 26).
While conditions remain "chilly" across the UK as the new week sets in, the Met Office says it could turn "very mild" by the weekend.
The Met Office said on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday (October 26): "We've got some chilly air feeding across the UK from the north at the moment
"Temperatures will slowly recover to around normal during the week ahead, and it could turn very mild next weekend."
