A “biased” Usman Khawaja would love to see an all-Queensland top-three of himself, Matt Renshaw and Marnus Labuschagne spearhead Australia’s Ashes batting line-up.

The battle for spots in Australia’s top-order continues with that start of the latest round of Sheffield Shield matches on Tuesday.

Of the three Queenslanders, only veteran Khawaja is considered a certainty to be picked for the November 21-25 opening Test of the Australia-England series in Perth.

Labuschagne’s early-season Shield form has him on the brink of a Test recall, either as Khawaja’s opening partner or in his preferred No.3 position.
