CEC Gyanesh Kumar announces second phase of SIR covering 51 crore voters

Draft voter list to be released on December 9; final list on February 7

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar announced that the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) will commence in 12 states and Union Territories from November 4.

The process will cover a total of 51 crore voters. The SIR, a comprehensive voter roll verification and correction drive, is being undertaken to ensure accurate, updated, and transparent electoral records.
