A 44-year-old Indian-origin teaching assistant was arrested in Mecklenburg County after allegedly slashing her husband's neck with a knife during a dispute over household chores, US authorities said.

Chandraprabha Singh was accused of "unlawfully, wilfully, feloniously" cutting the victim's neck, according to an arrest warrant cited by North Carolina-based news channel WBTV.
