Ontario Premier Doug Ford is unapologetic after apparently drawing the ire of the U.S. President for airing anti-tariff ads during the World Series in the United States.

The ad used comments by former U.S. President Ronald Reagan in 1987 in which he warns against broad protectionism measures and how a trade war would hurt American workers and industry.

Trump ended all negotiations with Canada after the ads aired in the United States, calling the tactic “dirty pool.”

Ford told reporters today that his intention was to inform the American populace that tariffs hurt workers on both sides of the border.
