(KRON) -- A Bay Area congressman is introducing legislation that would ban certain public officials and their families from trading cryptocurrency. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Fremont) said he would be introducing legislation Monday that would ban President Donald Trump, his family, and members of congress from crypto trading.
Khanna announced he would introduce the bill following Trump's recent pardon for the CEO of Binance. Changpeng Zhao, the CEO and co-founder of Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, served four months in prison after failing to stop criminals from using Binance to move money connected to child sex abuse, drug trafficking and terrorism.
