Despite their 40-9 demolition of the Carolina Panthers, the news was not all positive for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Stalwart defensive tackle Ed Oliver was forced to leave the game early with what is feared to be a torn bicep and will be sidelined indefinitely. A 2019 first-round pick, Oliver has been a key contributor during this successful era of Bills football, earning a four-year, $68 million contract extension before the 2023 season. Oliver had already missed four games this season but had been effective when he was able to take the field, registering three sacks and 12 tackles in three games played.
