Adjusting to the NFL can be difficult for rookies, but each season, a few stand out almost immediately. Here are five from Week 8:
New York Jets TE Mason Taylor (second round)
In a 39-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Taylor (pick No. 42) grabbed the winning touchdown pass from running back Breece Hall late in the fourth quarter. The catch was the first TD of the LSU product's NFL career.
"I saw the defender with his back turned to me, so I said, 'I'm going to throw it up to Mason and see if he goes and gets it,'" Hall said postgame. "I didn't know he scored, but I turned and looked at all the Bengals fans, and they were silent, looking at me."
Per Garrett Stepien of SNY-TV in New York, Taylor said he was open earlier on the play and gave Hall a hard time for passing it late.
