MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Anthony Edwards will be out at least one week with a hamstring injury, according to the team.
In a press release posted to the team's official website , the Timberwolves said an MRI taken at Mayo Clinic showed Edwards has a right hamstring strain.
"Edwards will be re-evaluated in one week, and further updates of his progress will be provided when available," the press release said.
The team's press release comes about an hour after a report published by ESPN NBA Insider Shams Charania suggested Ant would miss at least two weeks.
Edwards left Sunday night's home opener against the Indiana Pacers in the first quarter after experiencing tightness in his right hamstring and did not return.
