ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford man and three teens were arrested Sunday after they allegedly ran from police during a traffic stop, and handguns were found.
According to the Rockford Police Department, officers attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle around 7:25 p.m. near Elmwood and Garfield, but said the driver refused and drove away.
The car was later located in a driveway in the 1300 block of North Avenue. Four suspects ran from the car, police said, but officers were able to chase down and arrest two of them.
Police said two handguns, one with a laser light attachment and an extended magazine, were discarded by the fleeing suspects but recovered by officers.
