CLEVELAND (WJW) -- A Cleveland businessman accused last year of rape and attempted murder has worked out an agreement and is now facing just one charge: attempted strangulation.

Cuyahoga County court records show Bobby George, 44, of Cleveland, was charged in a bill of information -- rather than indicted by grand jury -- which was filed on Monday, Oct. 27.

George was originally bound over on several other charges, but was charged with attempted strangulation as part of an agreement, a new court filing shows.

He is the owner of several Cleveland eateries and businesses, including TownHall.
