In a tragic turn of events, a woman involved in the Sambalpur job fraud case died after consuming poison.

The deceased, identified as Swarnaprabha Padhi from the Chiplima area in the district, passed away while undergoing treatment at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla.

According to reports, Swarnaprabha had collected around Rs 64 lakh from around 600 people, promising them jobs. She had handed over the collected money to the alleged masterminds of the fraud, Padmavati Tandi and Rahul Ray. The duo had reportedly taken money from job seekers under the pretext of providing sanitation worker positions.
