Quinte Conservation’s Adopt an Acre program is back with a buzz-worthy project supporting local pollinators through hands-on learning for students.

The pollinator meadow at South Potter’s Creek Conservation Area is part of the outdoor classroom experience, giving local schools and community groups the chance to plant native wildflowers, discover the important role these plants play in protecting pollinators, and observe pollinator species in action.

“The pollinator meadow has grown into an incredible teaching tool, allowing visitors to see up close what native plantings look like while admiring the beautiful butterflies, bees, and other pollinator species,” said Lindsay Nash, the conservation’s outreach and stewardship coordinator, in a news release.
