One of Penn State’s many post-James Franklin firing decommits found his new home Monday.
Three-star 2026 cornerback Jaziel Hart announced his new commitment to North Carolina . Hart previously pledged to Penn State on May 22 and decommitted on Oct. 14, two days after Franklin’s departure.
Hailing from North Cross School in Roanoke, Virginia, Hart is the 560th overall prospect and 43rd at corner, according to the 247Sports Composite .
According to On3 , he had not visited a school other than Penn State since April. He is scheduled for an official visit at North Carolina in late November.
Hart stands 5-11 and 170 pounds.
After a flip from four-star wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers to Oklahoma earlier Monday , Penn State’s 2026 recruiting class now stands with 18 verbal commits.
