A Worcestershire man has been convicted of recklessly infecting another person with HIV today as his victim spoke out for the first time.

Luke Davis, 31, of George Street, Kidderminster, was found guilty of unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm at his Hereford Crown Court trial today, Monday (Oct 27).

He is due to be sentenced for the crime - a first of its kind for West Mercia Police - in January next year.

Davis’ victim discovered they were HIV positive in a routine screening in 2021. He told police Davis had recklessly exposed him - and others - to the virus.
