4Akron, OH – A coordinated weekend operation targeting illegal dirt bike and ATV riders led to multiple arrests after police said stunt riders turned city streets into danger zones.

Authorities said the joint effort was launched in response to a surge of public complaints about reckless riders disrupting neighborhoods in the Ellet and Derby Downs areas.

The Akron Police Department worked alongside the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Springfield Police Department to intercept what officials described as a large, planned gathering of street riders.
