BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) – The National Weather Service New Orleans/Baton Rouge confirmed two tornadoes, one in Tangipahoa Parish and another in Livingston Parish.
The first tornado briefly touched down at 4:39 a.m. Sunday in the marsh before crossing Bear Island Road south of Highway 22. The tornado was preliminarily rated an EF-0 with maximum winds of 75 mph. Most of the damage consisted of tree damage, but one house did sustain minor roof damage. A metal canopy was also thrown around 25 to 40 yards to the southeast of its original position.
The second tornado touched down in Tangipahoa Parish near River Road and Arbuthnott Drive around 5:53 a.m. The worst damage was observed near Dummyline Road, where multiple trees were downed and snapped. From there, the tornado then cross
