Brim Analytics, a Nashville start-up founded by Vanderbilt researcher and tech entrepreneur Daniel Fabbri, is gaining traction after Vanderbilt University Medical Center researchers associated with the company recently received a $2 million funding award for its AI-guided health-data abstraction tool.
Fabbri, associate professor of biomedical informatics, and Christine Micheel, research assistant professor of medicine, lead a team that recently received the $2 million funding extension for the Democratized AI-Guided Chart Abstraction Platform project.

With the additional funding, the project has received a collectively approximately $4 million from the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health. The grant extension will allow for expanded applications
