Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) had a cutting response to President Donald Trump's apparent demand that she take a dementia test.

Trump initially made the comments on Monday morning aboard Air Force One, telling reporters, "AOC is low IQ. If you give her an IQ test, have her pass like the exams that I decided to take when I was at Walter Reed. Those are very hard ... They're really aptitude tests, in a certain way, but they're cognitive tests. Let AOC go against Trump. The first couple of questions are easy. A tiger, an elephant, a giraffe..."

What Trump is describing, the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, is generally only used to screen elderly patients or those with brain injuries for signs of abnormal cognition.

But the president, who has repeatedly conflated his dementia screening with some sort of IQ test that he "aced" as far back as 2020, earned mockery from the 36-year-old lawmaker.

"Hello Mr. President!" Ocasio-Cortez posted to X. "Out of curiosity, did those doctors ask you to draw a clock by any chance? Was that part hard for you, too? Asking for 340 million people."

Trump has repeatedly attacked Ocasio-Cortez and other nonwhite lawmakers, including Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) as "low IQ."
