A Chatham teen, who travelled to Alexandria, Egypt, earlier this month to compete in the Miss Eco Teen International Pageant, finished third runner-up overall among a top field of contestants.
Elise Moccia, 15, represented Canada with grace and confidence, earned her top ranking by winning first place for best eco dress and placing in the Top 8 in resort wear, competing against contestants from more than 20 countries, stated a media release.
“Competing against a field of exceptionally talented young women, Elise’s achievements highlight her dedication, hard work, and passion for environmental awareness,” the release said.
