LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft at a bank in Waverly.

On Saturday, deputies were sent to Horizon Bank at 142nd and Lancashire streets.

According to Sheriff Kerry Wagner, the theft happened between 7:45 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. on Friday.

Wagner said a dark grey or gold sedan pulled up and started withdrawing money from the ATM.

The thieves then opened the ATM, took money, and quickly drove off, Wagner said.

There were no signs of forced entry to the ATM, according to Wagner.

The bank is conducting an internal audit to determine how much money it lost.

Wager said the sheriff’s office is investigating fingerprints and security camera footage to determine the suspects.
