SPRINGERVILLE, Ariz. — A months-long investigation into the Round Valley Police Department is complete, but town officials in Springerville are refusing to release the findings.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety conducted the investigation earlier this year at the request of Springerville’s town manager. The request came after a series of allegations involving Round Valley police officers.
The content of the report, as well as the incident or incidents that precipitated it, are unknown.
When 12News asked Springerville Mayor Shelly Reidhead if the city would release the DPS report, she said no.
“The DPS has the DPS report,” Reidhead said.
That answer frustrated Springerville resident Christine Howard, who has been tracking the department’s problems for months.
