The Phoenix Public Library Foundation is hosting its annual fundraising event and an online silent auction, Raise the Stacks, next month.

“It will be a wonderful evening that brings together community leaders, sponsors and library supporters to celebrate our shared impact,” Kelly Bushong, the foundation’s director, told a Phoenix subcommittee last week.

The event will be 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in the Great Reading Room on the fifth floor of the Burton Barr Central Library. The event, for ages 21 and older, will feature appetizers, cocktails, live music, a live auction and a dessert reception.

Funds will be raised from ticket sales, sponsorships and community donations, all supporting library programs.
