ALLEN PARK -- Dan Campbell didn’t get to see the New York Jets–Cincinnati Bengals game on Sunday in full, but he’s aware one of his coaches got a monkey off his back — and he’s happy.
The Jets picked up their first win of the season on Sunday, snapping a seven-game losing streak with a 39-38 victory over the Bengals. It also marked former Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn’s first win in his new role as the Jets’ head coach.
The victory puts both of Campbell’s former coordinators in the win column since their departures from Detroit after last season.
Glenn left his role as defensive coordinator to take the Jets coaching gig, whereas former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson departed to stay in the division and coach the Chicago Bears, where he’s experiencing some moderate success
