EAST LANSING – Another week, another loss.

Michigan State (3-5, 0-5 Big Ten) has dropped five straight games and will attempt to snap that skid when it plays at Minnesota (5-3, 3-2) on Saturday (3:30 p.m. ET, BTN).

Here are three things we learned at coach Jonathan Smith’s press conference on Monday:

1. Speak the truth

The Spartans believed a win against rival Michigan could have turned the season around but that didn’t happen. Michigan State lost 31-20 at home against the Wolverines last week for their fourth straight defeat in the battle for the Paul Bunyan Trophy.
