TITUSVILLE, Fla. ( WWSB ) — Severe thunderstorms brought historic flooding to Titusville, prompting the fire department to warn residents to stay safe and remain indoors.

Over an inch of rain has fallen throughout the city in what officials are calling a historic flooding event. The heavy rainfall has washed out an area near several homes.

The fire department issued safety warnings as the flooding conditions continued to impact the area.
