AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Local law enforcement agencies are reminding drivers to take steps to prevent car break-ins after a rash of reports in the past week.

There were multiple break-ins early Wednesday at an apartment complex in west Augusta.

Then another case of multiple break-ins happened late Friday in south Augusta’s Goshen neighborhood.

And the Edgefield County sheriff says it’s become a problem in his area, too.

In Richmond County

In the most recent Augusta incident, deputies responded around 11 p.m. Friday to reports of several vehicles being entered in the 1600 block of Goshen Road.

Surveillance footage showed suspects trying to break into vehicles.
