ASPEN HILL, Md. — A neighbor, who didn’t want to be publicly identified, has lived in her Bauer Drive home in Montgomery County for 50 years. In that time, she says reckless driving has always been a problem on her street, especially where it connects to Russett Road.
“My husband and I, when we were younger, we used to keep blankets in the closet here…..because of the number of people that’ve gotten hurt at this corner,” she says.
On Oct. 9, the intersection was the site of a tragedy that many neighbors are still shaken by.
Summer Lim, 11, was hit and killed by a school bus while riding her bike from Earle B. Wood Middle School.
