PLAINFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) - The efforts of a former Goddard College graduate could keep the school’s legacy of student-directed, experiential learning alive.

Goddard College in Plainfield may have closed for good last year, but the school’s campus is brimming with new life, including classes on leadership, comics, and even the history of “Star Trek.”

“We’re still really honoring the kind of unique things that people could do at Goddard, the way that it allowed for the exploration of topics that weren’t possible elsewhere,” said Adam Myers, who was part of the group pushing to revive elements of the college after its closure.

“Not just the values of Goddard but that kind of deeply transformative environment that so deeply fostered, you know, curiosity and passion in people,” Myers said.
