A string of vehicle thefts and an attempted break-in that ended after homeowners shot at the failed intruder — all within an eight-hour span — has led to a 27-year-old man's arrest, Manitoba RCMP say.
A white Ford F-250 was reported stolen from a property on Highway 9 in the rural municipality of Gimli at 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 20, police said in a news release on Monday.
Officers who went to the property found an abandoned vehicle that had been reported stolen from Britannia Close in Selkirk, Man., earlier that morning.
