OURAY COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - The Ouray County Coroner's Office is investigating a wired human skeleton found in a local garage.
According to a news release on Monday, the coroner's office and Ouray County Sheriff's Office were notified by someone of an estate where a wired human skeleton was discovered in a deceased person's house.
The skeleton seems to be a medical display specimen, according to the coroner's office. There are no criminal charges at this time.
The coroner has organized for an exam - which is pending - by a qualified anthropologist at a public university. The examination will include an analysis of age, gender, ethnicity and whether the skeleton is non-native, the coroner's office stated.
