GRAND JUNCTION Colo. (KREX)- On Monday, hundreds of students from across Colorado competed in the high school state marching band competition held at Lincoln Park.

The event, hosted by the City of Grand Junction in partnership with School District 51, brought together more than 30 of the state’s top high school bands from classes 1A, 2A and 3A — including Palisade, Delta and Olathe.

Organizers say the competition is among the largest events ever held at Lincoln Park, with 48 buses and 64 trucks and trailers carrying instruments, equipment and uniforms for the performances.
